12/2020 -I had a similar thing happen. Airline cancelled one leg of the trip and rebooked me a day later.
ASAP said $200 per person, or they won't issue the tickets (dump all my flights.) After email warning of flight change/cancel, ASAP had 12 days to protect me. Original agent would not call back. Turns out, all these agents are independent (work at home) and couldn't care less if you develop a travel issue. They use the standard stall tactic and run the clock up to the last day to make corrections, then charge you for the change.
The cheap prices are attractive but you get what you pay for. During COVID-19 era, travel conditions change often.
I will stick to the Airlines advance purchase and proper service in a jam. ASAP NEVER AGAIN.!
