ASAP Tickets are a BIG SCAM!
It was February 16 and 18 of 2020 when I purchased 4 round trip tickets for myself, my husband and my 2 children for a flight on June 13th to the Philippines. The total cost we paid was $5,059.95.
Then the Covid-19 happened and we decided that I will fly alone to visit my family.
My itinerary then rescheduled for June 16 with the understanding that 3 tickets for my husband and 2 children would be refunded back to my account. Fast forward to June 16, my flight date, ASAP tickets did not inform me that my flight from Japan to Philippines was cancelled due to Covid-19. Not knowing about the cancelled flight I flew from Houston, TX to Chicago Airport. In Chicago I waited hours for my next flight for Chicago to Japan which would take 13.5hrs, only to find out from the Japan Airlines Crew that my next flight was cancelled and that they would not allow me in their cabin.
I went through the trouble of finding out the answers. Since this wasn't my fault, United Airlines gave me a free seat to send me back to Houston, TX airport. My husband had to ask his co-worker to pick me up from the airport since he had driven back home from Houston and had to go into work. The next day we started the process to request the refund for my ticket.
ASAP told us that they were waiting for the airlines to refund them so they can refund us.
They made us wait 1 week, to 15 days, to 30 days to process the refund for 4 tickets. After 1 month we called again, we talked to different agents, even to their supervisors, to figure out what happened to our requested refund. We even did our own research and spoke to one of the United Airlines Customer Care Ms. La Tonya DuVall.
(see the photos below for the screenshot of her email). Ms. La Tonya put us in a conference call with the ASAP Tickets supervisor to help us expedite the refund that we requested. We haven't heard back from ASAP Tickets since then.
We disputed this to my bank but CapitalOne denied it stating that the merchant which is the ASAP Tickets provided a document that this is a valid transaction. We are out the 5000 dollars and have been provided no trip to the Philippine. This has been a long fight since day 1 that I asked for our $5,000 back. Every time I call the agent they are hard to reach, they will assign me to the new agent to open the case, the agent will then tell me to wait for his or her call after 1 week but I never heard from them again.
They will b.s you that your refund is in process but You will have to wait for another 30 days. The airlines already refunded them but ASAP is keeping our money. This has been so stressful to me mentally, emotionally and economically. It has affected my credit score which I have worked so hard to build.
We are now in the month of December and still haven't gotten any refund. So now I am going to join forces with other pissed off customers to file a lawsuit against this thief agency and the agents.
The level of my stress and anxiety that they caused me is unbearable.
DO NOT BOOK ON #ASAPTickets! Book directly to the Airlines to avoid being scammed.
Monetary Loss: $5000.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Asap Tickets Pros: Illusion that i was getting good service.
Asap Tickets Cons: No help in a crisis bounced around they have your money sorry, Terrible customer service no ticket protection honored, Lied.
