I wanted to book tickets for three passengers to Philippines. I spoke to the two agents regarding the booking.
I spoke to the supervisor who who processed the booking. He claims to be an expert and knows about the policy of the airlines (delta and PAL) regarding 2 free check-in baggage 50 lbs each passenger. Plus he claimed that he is familiar with Manila airports both international and domestic. I told him that I want to book tickets for three passengers and I want to claim by baggage in our final destination which is Davao.
In that way I don't have to check-out my baggage in Manila and then check-in at the domestic airport for our connecting flight knowing that domestic flight baggage policy is different from international. He sent me through email our confirmation tickets. I just found out later when I called delta and PAL (philippine airline) airlines to make sure all information still the same. I found out through PAL that I need to check out my baggage in manila and check-in at the domestic flight.
I asked why? They told me it's because when the agent purchased the tickets (supervisor), he made two different bookings by purchasing the international flight tickets separate from our domestic flight. Then I ended up paying extra weight/ baggage. When I called the agency about this problem, the agent (supervisor) who processed the booking refused to talk to me.
He made different excuses that he was busy, he was not available, he was on the other line, he was on the phone, etc. Tech support sent him messages, left him my phone # to call me back but never call. Every time I called (everyday) he had different excuses that he can't talk to me, instead he passed it on to the other staff agent to resolve it who didn't know anything about this booking. Before I purchased the tickets they always called me to followup the tickets.
They even called me late at night and during their days off just to followup in purchasing the tickets. Now after I paid the tickets and the problem came up, the supervisor refused to talk to me. It's like a scammer!!!...... I will never buy tickets from them again.
